Amanda Curcio Memorial Scholarship

The Belfast Organization for Artists was founded in loving memory of Amanda.
There is a memorial scholarship set up at Belfast Central School to benefit a student who intends to pursue the arts.

Donations can be mailed to
Belfast Central School, 1 King Street, Belfast, NY 14711.
Checks should be made payable to Belfast Central School, with a memo/note indicating it is a donation to the Amanda Curcio memorial scholarship.

Welcoming Creative Minds to BOFA

New BOFA member Karen Roll sharing her ideas on & experiences with the creative process in quilting & doll making. Karen's Trunk Show was presented to the Crafty Belles in the Belfast Town Hall on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. BOFA members Kathy, Marie, Sheary, & Cecy were also in attendance.

Karen is a self-taught master quilter, a book illustrator, a watercolor artist, and a maker of wonderful dolls. She will be exhibiting in August at the Annual Art Show and in November at the November 2014 Doll Makers and Doll Artists Exhibition at Belfast Public Library. Welcome to the Belfast Organization for Artists

BOFA has been established to

increase awareness and participation in the Creative Arts

in the Belfast, NY Area.

Through independent efforts and in collaboration with Belfast groups and clubs we will:

assist artisans to create work and make it available to the public, provide area artisans with links to information and resources, exchange ideas and skills knowledge with area artisans, create new opportunities to show work in the Belfast Area, provide publicity, collaborate with Allegany County Arts organizations, represent Belfast at the County Level, provide enrichment and service opportunities to community members.

A charitable project of SheilaLynnK Art Studio, this volunteer organization is funded by the private contributions of its founding members, funding through fiscal sponsorship, affordable membership fees, and anonymous donations. All funds received are directly applied to the cost of materials, marketing, and local creative projects and events.
